Betty Jane Willmon Copeland, 84, of Fort Worth, Texas was called to her heavenly home on June 10, 2018. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday, June15, 2018 from 6:00 p m to 8:00pm at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel. A Celebration of Betty Jane’s life will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Friendship Free Will Baptist Church, located at 4200 McKibben St. in Fort Worth, Texas. She will be laid to rest at Greenwood Memorial Park. Betty Jane was born January 4, 1934 to Mary & Robert Pink Willmon in Amber, Oklahoma. Betty Jane was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and leaves behind an indelible mark of love in the hearts of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She taught Sunday school for over 30 years at Friendship Free Will Baptist Church and when she wasn’t teaching she worked numerous hours in the church nursery. A virtuous woman with a strong faith, Betty Jane loved serving her Lord and helping others. She held various jobs throughout her life, but the one she was most proud of was being a devoted wife and mother. As their children got older, she could be found working alongside her husband at the North Side Griddle, taking care of their customers. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 66 years, James Harley Copeland, who passed away just 48 days before she did; her daughter, Meri Jo Hart, four brothers and four sisters. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her daughter, Cheryl Kay Chrane and husband, Jack, their children, Selina Kay Chrane and husband, Ronnie Long; Justin Jack Chrane and wife, Shanna Hampton, and their grandchildren, Jackson and Calum Long; daughter, Colleen Grider and husband, Tommy, their children, Danielle Shivers and husband, Lee, Penny Smith and husband Michael, James Grider and wife Kayleen, and Heather White, their grandchildren, Michael Shivers and wife, Kristen, Jake Shivers, Caleb Smith, Miranda Campbell, Brent, Eric, and Ian Grider and Dylan White, and their great grandchildren, Brooke, Jade, Adry, Emory, Duke and Charlotte Shivers; son, J.H. Copeland, and wife, Brandy and their children, Zachary and Tyler; and son, William Copeland and wife, Josephine, their children, Megan Wilhite and husband Ford, Andrew Copeland and wife, Shay, Linsey Jacob and husband, Ben, and Nicholas and Stephen Copeland, their grandchildren, Olivia, Owen, Conrad and Kylie Wilhite, Aiden, Chloe, and Liam Copeland, Ezra Jacob and Isla Ruth Jacob. She also survived by the children of her late daughter, Meri Jo Hart, her son, Chad Wright and wife, Tamina, and their children, Cody Mills and wife Tiana, Teslea and Garrett Wright and her daughter, Amanda Burcham and husband, Bobby, their children, Lindsey, Lauren, and Lacie Burcham. She is also survived by her brothers-in-law, Bobby Joe and Tommy Lynn Copeland, and sister-in-law, Patricia Jean Pitcock, all of Oklahoma; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions be made in Betty’s name to the Alzheimer's Association, https://act.alz.org/site/Donation.
