

Betty Lois Farmer Daniel went to be with the Lord on December 17, 2018. She was born November 26, 1923 in Fort Worth to John Thomas and Frankie Florence Farmer. She married the love of her life, Thomas H. Daniel on April 3, 1942. They were lifelong residents of Fort Worth, where they raised their two sons, Stephen Thomas and Raymond Martin. Betty was a graduate of Texas Women’s University with a degree in Home Economics. She was a Reading and Spelling teacher at Fort Worth ISD middle schools for over 30 years when she retired. Betty was a dedicated and faithful member of Western Hills Baptist Church. For many years she was an active volunteer at the Japanese Gardens and the Salvation Army. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister and brother-in-law, Florence and Aaron Hays and her beloved nephew, Nick Hays. She is survived by her sons, Ray and Shela Daniel of Grapevine, Stephen and Pamela Daniel of Houston. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kathryn and Travis Maltby of Grapevine, Allison and Isaac Craft of Seoul, South Korea, Abigail Daniel of Houston and Ariana Daniel of Houston. She is also survived by six great grandchildren, Ellis and Addison Maltby and Judah, Asher, Zoey, and Theo Craft. Visitation will be Thursday, December 20 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Shannon Funeral Home, 6001 Rufe Snow in Watagua. Services will also be held at Shannon’s on Friday, December 21 at 10:00 am with burial to follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Fort Worth. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her memory to Western Hills Baptist Church (WesternHillsBC.com) or the Salvation Army.
