Betty was born April 30, 1937 to Albert and Lola Andrews in Fort Worth, Texas. She attended Fort Worth Schools. She married Benjamin Solomon Howard. She was a lifelong homemaker and mother of nine children. During this time, she supported the dream of her husband becoming business owner by helping save for their first 18-wheeler. Throughout his career she traveled with him.
Along with Betty being supportive of her husband she was also a pillar in the community. Betty opened her home up to the neighborhood kids and always was giving back. She was a giver and spent many years giving back to the community.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben and son, Gary.
Betty is survived by her children, Cynthia Marks and husband, Marvin; Sylvia Wilson; Kenneth Hunter; Donna West; Barbara Love; Barry Pittman and wife, Mechelle; Hope Ellis and husband, Reginald; Byron Howard and wife, Dona; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
