Betty Sue Toomer

Betty Sue was born on May 5, 1932, in Alvarado, Texas, to Willie Record and Ortie Mae Tutt Record. Betty grew up in Alvarado with her five brothers and graduated from Alvarado High School in 1950. Betty married Bennie Ross Toomer in 1951 and had two daughters, Carolyn and Rhonda. For her entire working career, Betty worked and managed print shops at Edwards Printing and Tandy QuickPrint in downtown Fort Worth, at Xerox in Fort Worth, and retired from Halliburton in 1999. After retirement Betty lived in Burleson, TX and took care of her beloved dog, BJ.

Betty Sue will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Betty was predeceased by her husband, Bennie Ross Toomer, her daughter, Rhonda Toomer Lewis, her parents, Willie and Ortie Mae Record, and by her five brothers, Bill, Hershel, Wayne, Frank, and Lee.

Survivors: Betty is cherished in memory by her daughter, Carolyn and husband Bill, by her granddaughter, Jennifer and husband Butch, and by her great-grandsons “her boys” Dylan, Nicholas, and Jacob.
