

Beverly Ann Cragan, 68 of North Richland Hills, Texas went to be with our heavenly father and others who passed before her on April 3, 2018 at 6:57pm. She was born to John S. and Irene Kidwell on February 20, 1950 in Ft Worth, Texas. She grew up in Fort Worth as one of 6 children. She married her first husband in 1969. They had 4 children together, Frank, Shelly, Kelly and Samantha who they raised in North Richland Hills. Beverly went back to school and graduated from TCJC in 1992 with an Associate Degree, where she was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa National Honors Society. She continued her education at The University of North Texas in Denton where she graduated with a double major and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Counselor Education and Rehabilitation Studies. She was asked to be on the President’s list and Dean’s list. She was very proud of her academic achievements. She was Nonie and Grandma to 11 of the most precious grandchildren. She met her husband and the love of her life Mark Cowan in 1995. She lived happily with him and was devoted to him until the end. Beverly was a special woman to many and she was the center of her family. She played many roles to her children, grandchildren and husband. She was not just a mother, wife or grandmother; she was a mentor, counselor and most of all a best friend. There are no words to express how much this amazing woman will be missed.
Beverly was preceded in death by her daughter Brandi, her brother Johnny II, her mother Irene, her father John S. and her sister Darlene. She was met in heaven 2 days later by her loving sister Linda Kay.
Beverly is survived by her loving husband Mark, Her loving children, Frank and his fiancé Ashley, Shelly and husband Kendrick, Kelly and husband Syl, and Samantha and husband Dmitri. Her loving grandchildren, Milla, Marcus, Tabitha, Ashton, Malaiha, Mikalette, Emily, Dillon, Alexia, Alexander and Nikolas. Her loving sister Shawn and husband Mike, her loving sister Carolyn, and many step children, step grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends.
Beverly did not want flowers sent. Instead she would rather have stuffed animals collected at the service. They will then be donated to her lifelong friend Susan and her husband Gary who will distribute them amongst the Mansfield Police Department. They will be used when they encounter a scared or crying child, this is how beautiful and thoughtful Beverly was.
