

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Beverly Nabors, who left us on Wednesday, August 12th at the age of 86. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, friend and educator. Her presence will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Born on October 30th, 1939 in Fort Worth, Texas, Beverly was the daughter of Elsa Irene "Sis" Berry and Sandy Willis "Ballie" Berry. She was the eldest sister to Sandy Whiteman Berry. Throughout her life, Beverly was known for her bubbly, bright personality and a smile that lit up the room. From early childhood, she spent most of her life in Fort Worth, graduating from Poly High School and Texas Wesleyan College. While attending Texas Wesleyan she began dating the love of her life, Johnny Nabors. They were married in 1962 and just celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary this July. She had two daughters, Malinda “Mindy” and Jana.
Beverly had a passion for elementary education especially Kindergarten. She taught in Fort Worth ISD her entire career. Beverly was the ultimate people person. She attended Everman United Methodist Church. As a member there, she participated in the Women’s Circle, Lord’s Acre and Choir. She enjoyed her membership in the Everman Garden Club as well as many teachers’ associations and High School and College Alumni groups. At home she was excited about cooking, sewing, gardening, decorating, and mothering her two daughters. Post retirement she traveled the world with Johnny making many new memories and friends. She was a radiant beauty with a fabulous sense of humor, the ultimate hostess, and wrote the perfect thank you note.
Beverly Nabors is survived with deep sorrow by her spouse, Johnny, daughters Mindy and Jana, grandchildren, Madeline, Nathaniel, Breanna, and Ryleigh, and great grandsons, Myles and Kyson as well as many more family and friends.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Sis and Willis Berry, and brother, Sandy Berry.
