

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Bobby Ray Singleton, who left us on January 28th, 2025, at the age of 94. He was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, and his presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Born on January 28th, 1931, in Alvarado, Texas, Bobby Ray Singleton was the child of Lester and Sally Singleton. The family would eventually grow to have ten children, three of those being sisters, and seven brothers. Throughout his life, Bobby was known for Serving in the US Army. Enlisting on July 12th, 1948, he would go on to be assigned to Company G, the 145th Infantry, and Regiment 37th Infantry Division. He would later serve as an Army guard at the Nuremburg Trials and be awarded the Army of Occupation Medal in Germany, before being discharged on June 23rd, 1952. Unfortunately, he ended up spending sixteen months in the VA hospital in Kerrville, Texas, where he was diagnosed with tuberculosis; to later find out he in fact did not have tuberculosis but is a carrier. He worked for numerous auto parts distributors throughout his life, until eventually retiring from Johnson & Johnson. He devoted his time and energy to his beloved family. He would go on to marry his wife, Wanda Faye Singleton on March 8th, 1957. They would go on to have two beautiful children, Timothy Ray Singleton and Tammy Dawn Moore.
Bobby Ray Singleton is survived with deep sorrow by his wife, Wanda Singleton; children, Timothy Ray Singleton and Tammy Dawn Moore; five grandchildren, Bobby Thomas, Ashley Thornton, Thomas Moore II, Amber Webb, and Amanda Peaslee; Ten great-grandchildren, Brayden Thomas, Kasenn Thomas, Brilynn Thomas, Hailey Webb, Ethan Webb, Brady Clemmons, Brody Thornton, Madison Moore, Chloe Moore, and Claire Moore, along many more family and friends.
The family deeply appreciates the outpouring of love, prayers, and support during this difficult time. Bobby Ray Singleton’s legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
