

Bonnie Kay was born in Panama City, Fl, on May 17,1954 (On the day of the famous ‘Brown vs Board of Education’ decision). Bonnie was the oldest child of Clevonne and Hildred Woolen; and the big sister of Claxton O’Keith Woolen. The family moved to Fort Worth when Bonnie was only 9 years old. She fell in love with Texas and the Dallas Cowboys.
She was always an excellent student and excelled at Poly Tech High School; she attended TCJC and went on to earn her Nursing License from St. Joseph School of Nursing here in Fort Worth. She was an excellent and beloved Nurse serving at St. Joseph and Peter Smith Hospitals, and several Nursing Homes throughout the area. Her favorite pastimes were reading and traveling. Her many travels included New York, Paris, and Africa. Bonnie is preceded in death by her father, Clevonne Woolen and her grandmother Katie (Hobbs) Hines.
Those left to cherish her loving memories and to mourn their loss are her devoted mother, Hildred (Hines) Woolen; her brother Claxton O’Keith Woolen; her wonderful children: Lutrelle, Sherry, and Luther “B.J.” Pierce, Jr., and two nephews Jay and Cadarius Woolen. She also leaves behind her Aunts: Erni Goss, Sharon Hines, Boochie Mitchell and Mattie (Wayne) Hines; and uncles: Myron (Verma) Hines, George (Mary) Hines and Frank (Carolyn) Austin; her God-sisters: Mary Pierce, Amy Evans, and Shirley Cook, and a host of loving cousins, friends, and the Truevine Baptist Church family.
