Born January 23, 1954, in Fort Worth, Texas, Brenda was the daughter of the late John Robert and Mary Elizabeth Hunter. She was predeceased by her sister Mary Evelyn McNeil, sister-in-law Linda Diane Hunter, and nephew John Marshall McNeil.
Brenda was married twice. She first united with Pepper John Louis Venable who passed August 11,1986, and after his passing she married Jacob Eugene Lemke who passed September 17, 2025.
She is survived by Aaron Matthew Venable, her son, and his wife Gabrielle Marie; their daughter Abbigale Jolene, her beloved granddaughter; her sister Ida Ruth Menchaca in union with husband Michael Angel Menchaca, her brother Robert Derwin Hunter, her nieces Elizabeth Rachel McPherson, Diana Ruth Christensen, Alicia Anne Marron, Candace Denae Hunter, and nephew Charles Riley Hunter.
Brenda received her education in the Fort Worth Independent School District and pursued her career as a dedicated health care professional. She retired after many years of faithful service as a Unit Secretary at All Saints Hospital of Fort Worth. She later served as a substitute teacher for Crowley ISD, positively impacting the lives of many students.
A born-again Christian since her teenage years, Brenda's faith was the cornerstone of her life. She served the Lord side by side with her husband Jacob, ministering to countless residents of Volunteers of America. To the young men and women who were friends with her son, she was a second mother. Her home was a place of shelter, encouragement, and unconditional love for those in need.
Brenda's spirit shone in every facet of her life—whether she was dancing to any music that played, greeting friends with a contagious smile, or quietly offering a prayer for those around her. Her unwavering trust in Jesus Christ left an enduring mark on family, friends, and the many she served.
