OBITUARY

Calvin Hodge

January 1, 1940May 4, 2020

Calvin Hodge, age 80, of Fort Worth, Texas passed away on Monday May 4, 2020. Calvin was born January 1, 1940 in Woodlawn, Texas to the Parents of Willie and Loretta Hodge. He became a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Woodlawn, under the leadership of Pastor Johnson. He attended school in Marshall Independent School District, and Proud Graduate of Pemberton High School. In June of 1962 Calvin was drafted in the United State Army. He received a Specialty Member and Title 911.10 Medical Specialist. On February 28, 1966 he was Honorably Discharged as a Medical Specialist Med Tech. Calvin resided in Fort Worth, Texas and Joined Eastland Church of Christ and retired as a Construction Worker.

Those awaiting his arrival in the Kingdom, is his loving parents, sons, sister and brothers. Calvin leaves to cherish and his loving memories; daughter, Mearlean Hodge Risper of Fort Worth, Texas; two grandchildren; five great grandchildren of Dallas, Texas.; brother, Lonnell Hodge (Shelia) of Longview, Texas; sisters, Mary (Napoleon) Carter, MD-Marshall, Texas, Joetta (Rev. James) Taylor, Longview, Texas, Travis (Billy) Dixon-Dallas, Texas, Gloria (Eddie) Knighten-San Antonio, Texas, Betty Willie-Marshall, Texas and Anneathia Small-Longview, Texas and a host of nephews, nieces and cousins.
