Carlos Arturo Cortes, age 26, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2026. Carlos was born in Fort Worth, Texas on September 13, 2000.

Carlos attended school at Western Hills High School.

Carlos is preceded in death by his grandmother Ma'Teresa Gutierrez, and his uncle Freddy Arvizu.

Carlos is survived by his parents Arturo Cortes and Lorena Arvizu, his son Carlos Arturo Cortes Jr., his siblings Angelina Ramirez, Elizabeth Cortes, and Adriana Cortes.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15 at 2:00 PM with a visitation held prior to services beginning at 12:00 PM at Laurel Land's Chapel of Chimes. Carlos will be laid to rest at Laurel Land Memorial Park in Fort Worth, Texas.
