Carol Rogers McKenzie

The McKenzie family announces the passing of Carol Rogers McKenzie who left us on September 19, 2025, at the age of 92. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother and her presence will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Born in Frisco, Texas, she was the child of Glenn and Lucille Rogers. Carol is survived by son Dan and his wife Becky McKenzie, daughter Julie Brooks and her husband Jimmy, daughter Mary McKenzie, granddaughter Karolyn McKenzie and grandson Robby McKenzie and his wife Lauren and their daughter Chloe.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. McKenzie.

Carol met Bob at East Texas State University, and they were married in 1955. They spent eight years in the air force after graduating and then lived in Commerce, Texas, before settling in Fort Worth. Carol was active in church activities and taught pre-school and elementary school. She enjoyed playing bridge, sewing, reading and being a member of The Woman’s Club of Fort Worth.

A visitation for Carol will be held Wednesday, October 1, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at Laurel Land Funeral Home of Fort Worth, 7100 CROWLEY RD, FORT WORTH, TX 76134, followed by a graveside service from 3:00 PM to 3:45 PM.
