Carole attended school until her senior year but had to leave prior to graduation to enter the workforce and help support her family. She later met her husband, Les, while working as a waitress in New Mexico. Together, they shared a loving marriage of more than 60 years.
Carole was a hardworking woman who co-owned an auction business and western wear business with her husband. She enjoyed cooking, puzzles, and being involved in community events, including helping with events during Les’s time as Mayor of Itasca. She was known for her sweet, thoughtful, and caring nature.
Carole was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Dorothy Martin, and her brothers, David and Mike Martin.
She is survived by her husband, Lesley Alley; children, Jerry Alley (wife Kim) and Chari Galer (husband Troy); and grandchildren, Ciena, Madison, and Jordan.
