Carolyn made her living as a Bookkeeper, but her true passion was camping with her husband. The motored throughout the United States in their RV. She also enjoyed sewing, and spending time with her many grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Douglas LeRoy Hammond Sr.; twin sister, Marilyn Lu Cunningham; and infant daughter, Susan K. Watts.
She is survived by her brother, Jerry Wayne Hamm and his wife Joyce; sons, Terry Watts and his wife Terri and Jerry Dale Watts and his wife Kay; Douglas Hammond Jr. and his wife Cathy, and Mark Hammond; daughters, Cathy Green and Carolyn Verhy and her husband Lee; as well as many grand-children and great-grandchildren
