

Service: 10 a.m. Saturday at Laurel Land Fort Worth Memorial Chapel. Interment: 12:30 p.m. in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Tolar.
June Aston was born in El Centro, Calif., on May 31, 1934. She spent her early years in Imperial and San Diego counties until her marriage to Bud King in 1951. From there she lived the life of a military wife and mother to four children, awakening in her a lifelong love of travel. She also developed many professional skills through her work in the title and mortgage industries and by serving on church staffs in Texas and Louisiana. In 1984, June married Weldon Aston of Fort Worth and spent nearly 30 years traveling the world and enjoying all that Fort Worth has to offer. Her zest for life and her love for her family were contagious and set the example for all who follow; her vibrant faith in Christ leaves a legacy for hundreds.
June was preceded in death by her husband, Weldon, in 2013.
Survivors: She is survived by a brother, Ted Roe of Glendale, Ariz.; four children, Cathi Warren of San Antonio, Steve King of Del City, Okla., Mark King of Fort Worth and David King of Irving; stepchildren, Sharon Aston Stewart of Farmers Branch and Jeff Aston of Fort Worth; 19 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and Rachel Fite King, the daughter-in-law who lovingly cared for her until her last day.
