Cecil Wayne was raised in Fort Worth. He graduated from Paschal High School. After graduation, Cecil joined the United States Navy and served honorably from 1952-1960, including time in the Korean War. He returned to the United States and found employment with Vought where he would work for 38 years before retiring. He was a Master Mason and was a member of Lodge #1356. He became a minister and loved the Lord.
Cecil is preceded in death by his parents; Cecil and Hazel Kennedy, wife; Melva Kennedy, and stepson; David Geeslin
He is survived by his sons; Rodney Kennedy and Benjamin Jordan, daughters; Marcella Forbes and Cheryl Cashen, 14 grandkids, 18 great grandkids, and many other loving family members and friends.

Visitation will be from 6-8 pm at Laurel Land Funeral Home, 7100 Crowley Road, Fort Worth, Texas, 76134.
A graveside service honoring Cecil will be held at 11:15 am at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 200 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas, 75211, in lane 2.
