Charles Ray Brazzel, resident/rancher of Eldorado, TX, passed away on December 24th. He was born June 18, 1926, and was a WWII Navy Veteran attached to the 5th Marine Division and made the initial landing at Iwo Jima. Charles married Jean Meador in 1948, and they enjoyed 69 wonderful years together. He worked at Bell Helicopter in Fort Worth for 34 years.
Charles is survived by wife, Jean, three children, Joel C. "Dusty" Brazzel, Debbie Bounds & husband Bob, Pam Flory & husband Keith. There are nine grandchildren, Joel, Elizabeth, Benjamin, Melissa, Bethany, Matthew, Brian, Scott and Lindsey, and six great grandchildren, plus loving nieces and nephews.
Big Daddy, as known by his family, was a positive force and brought joy to everyone around him with "Big-Daddy-isms" like, It’s Nothing But a Kid’s Game, and Everybody Gets Two Chances!
Visitation is at 11:30 AM, Saturday the 30th, with a graveside service to follow at 1:00 PM, at Shannon Rose Hill, Ft. Worth.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested for Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children.
