Born on February 4, 1956, in Taylor, Pennsylvania, Charles was the beloved son of Linus Thomas Grogan and Pat AnnMarie George. He grew up in a lively household as the second of eight boys.
Following his high school years, Charles proudly served for four years in the United States Air Force, where he discovered a natural talent for mechanics and became an accomplished aircraft mechanic. His military service shaped a lifetime of discipline and precision, skills he carried forward into a distinguished civilian career. After his honorable discharge, Charles joined DynCorp International, where he dedicated over 40 years of service. As a revered Legacy Associate, Charles was a cornerstone of the company—a vast wealth of knowledge and a patient, trusted mentor to countless colleagues over four decades.
Charles's work ethic and resilience were unmatched. While working full-time at DynCorp and raising his two young daughters, he balanced the immense responsibilities of family and career to earn his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from St. Mary’s University—a testament to his determination and drive to provide the best possible future for his family.
While Charles achieved much professionally, his true joys were found in the simpler moments of life. He loved spending time on the golf course and found peace and relaxation at the beach. He was a man known for his quiet way of caring; he never sought recognition or praise, but he would truly do anything for anyone in need.
Above all achievements and passions, Charles was, first and foremost, a devoted father. He poured his heart into his children, teaching them by example how to be resilient, strong, and giving. His lessons, his kindness, and his quiet strength will live on through them forever.
Charles is survived by his two daughters, Mary Grogan and Michelle Beaver, and his grandson, Dylan Beaver, all of whom he adored deeply. He was preceded in death by his parents, Linus and Pat.
