

A Celebration of Life will be held at The White Room, 2227 W Park Row Dr., Pantego, Texas 76013, on March 22, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
He was born in Fort Worth, TX on August 2nd, 1959 and was a 1978 graduate of Eastern Hills High School. After high school, he joined the U.S. Navy and served 24 honorable years.
His service included the following Assignments: At Sea the USS KITY HAWK (CV-63); USS PROTEUS (AS-19); USS CLEVELAND (LPD-7); USS SHOUP (DDG-86) and Ashore: TRF Bangor; Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 40; Navy Intermediate Maintenance Facility; Naval Recruiting District Dallas, TX.
After finally returning to Fort Worth, he reconnected with his high school friend, Missy Morrell, igniting a spark that soon blossomed into a beautiful relationship. Over the course of 13 incredible years of marriage, they created a life filled with love, adventure and unwavering support. In 2013, they founded CMP Commercial Construction and built it into the thriving business it continues to be today. In 2015, they purchased land where they built Peters Ranch which was to be their “forever” home and it became a sanctuary filled with love, laughter and wonderful memories.
Pete’s infectious smile lit up the room, and his big heart and compassionate nature made him the pillar of support for everyone around him. He had a zest for life that was evident in everything he did. His deep passion for golf took him to various countries to play and he was a master in the kitchen and on the grill. He loved cooking for family and friends, using food as way to bring people together and celebrate life. Pete was loved by many and will be missed by all.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Willie and Dennie Foil, Ona Mae and Ralph Peters, and two wonderful fathers Charles Peters and Gene Howell, brother Don Howell and sister Debbie Grigsby, brother-in-law David Roach and sister-in-law Lori Howell.
He is survived by his wife Missy Peters, mother Adelene Howell, step-mother Sylvia Peters, children Michael Wayne Peters and Bobbie Lynn Coppinger, grandchildren Connor Peters, Kylie Mae and Trayce Coppinger, sisters Vicki (Ty), Dionne (Kenny) and Stacy (Troy), brothers Billy and Greg and multiple nieces, nephews and cousins.
