Charlie M. Irvin fell asleep in the arms of her Savior on Friday, Feb. 26, 2016. Celebration of life: 11 a.m. Friday at Pilgrim Galilee Christian Church, 2601 Pecos St., the Rev. Newton Braizel, pastor, Apostle Isaiah Thomas, celebrant. Interment: Cedar Hill Memorial Park. Visitation: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, with the family present 7 to 8 p.m., at Gregory W. Spencer Funeral Directors. Survivors: Left with fond and precious memories are children, Overseer Loretta Hooper, Thurman Silmon, Lillian Wilson (Gary), Robert Silmon; sister, Onetta Burns; brother, Emmanuel Haynes; nine grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
