She was born in Fort Worth on February 7, 1949.
Cheri graduated from R. H. Paschall and received her Associate's degree from TCJC.
She was married to Carl Terry Griffin in 1994 in Las Vegas. Terry had a career as a machinist for Bell Helicopter. She was a member of Sag Afta and Cross Roads Christian Church, and had a passion for travel and art.
She was preceded in death by her husband Terry; her father, Charles E. Mitchell; and her mother Doris N. Mitchell.
She is survived by her sisters: Charla Mitchell, Cheryl Rogers, and Charlotte Upchurch.
Her service dates are to be determined, and will be held at Laurel Land Funeral Home of Fort Worth, located on 7100 Crowley Rd. Fort Worth, TX 76134.
