Mrs. Cheryl Lynn Killian (Kimsey) was born on September 2, 1953, in Dallas Texas to Larry and Norma. She died unexpectedly on April 7, 2020, in Arlington, Texas at the age of 66.

Cheryl is survived by her daughter Jessica Charvet; Son-in-law Scott Charvet; Grandson Justin Killian; Grandson James Clapp; Great Grandchildren Ashley, Emma, and Matthew Killian; Sister Teresa Tucker; Brother-in-law Ronnie Tucker; Brother Mark Kimsey; Nieces Kristi Tibbs and Amanda Tucker: Nephew Lawrence Kimsey; and boyfriend Charles MacLeod. Cheryl is preceded in death by her parents Larry Rex Kimsey and Norma Joyce Kimsey.

She graduated from Grand Prairie High School and attended undergraduate school and received a Bachelors's degree from Rice University in Houston and a Masters's degree from the University of North Texas in Denton. She spent her professional life as a nursing home administrator and owner before her retirement.

Cheryl was brainy, feisty, successful and ever the staunch supporter and advocate for the most vulnerable in society; the elderly, children and animals. Her professional life was dedicated to the nursing home industry where she excelled at protecting and defending the rights of our senior citizens all the way to Washington, D.C. She fed the raccoons and possums in her neighborhood and she loved her pets as if they were her children. She was always at the ready with compliments and encouragement to anyone who needed it. Even when her own life was painful and complicated, she smiled through her tears. I will forever hear her nourishing laughter in my head. Thank you, God, for sharing this beautiful soul with us. Today Cheryl is far beyond the cares of us mortals she left behind, but she will forever hold the dearest place in our hearts.

We are allowed this day to be mournful, to grieve our best friend, our mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother. All those who knew and loved Cheryl would say she was one of the greatest gifts in our lives.
