She was born in Leigh, Texas on August 17, 1950. She was married to Donald Lester in Fort Worth, Texas.
Clara had a rewarding and impactful career in nursing, with multiple hospitals. She had a passion for gardening and sports.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Lester; her mother Theresa Goynes; her children and their spouses; Steve & Demetrius Parker; John & Angelia Parker III and Juan & Yvette Parker Sr.; her nine grandchildren; her ten great-grandchildren; her sister Joyce Godfrey; and her brothers James Goynes and William "Billy" Goynes a host of nieces and nephews.
