Mr. Clarence Arie Brown Jr.

He arrived with a smile that could brighten any day, a joke already on deck, and a laugh so contagious that everyone around him couldn’t help but join in. If you knew CJ, you knew joy. You knew what it meant to have a good time. Most people heard his laugh before they ever saw him. Our beloved Clarence “CJ” Brown Jr. passed away unexpectedly on June 22, 2026, at the age of 30, leaving behind a family who loved him beyond words and countless friends whose lives will never be the same. CJ was a devoted son, proud father, loving brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, fiancé, and the kind of friend who made everyone feel like family. He loved deeply, laughed loudly, never met a stranger, and had a remarkable gift for making everyone feel welcomed—CJ truly was the life of every party.

CJ’s love for learning began at an early age, inspired by evenings spent reading with his mother. Naturally curious and determined, he attended O.D. Wyatt High School before continuing his education at Tarrant County College. Whatever he set his mind to, he mastered. Whether cooking a great meal, learning a new skill, or helping someone he loved, CJ did it with excellence. Known for his sharp style, generous spirit, and unwavering faith, he found joy in family, great food, new experiences, and cheering on his beloved Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Mavericks, or TCU Horned Frogs.

Above all, CJ was a devoted father whose greatest joy was his son, and he lovingly embraced his fiancée’s daughter as his own. Just weeks before his passing, he gave his mother a Mother’s Day card that read, “Hang in there, the journey is not over.” Today, those words comfort everyone who loved him. Though CJ is no longer with us physically, his journey is not over. His love lives on through his family, his son, his bonus daughter, and every life he touched with his laughter, kindness, and generous heart. His legacy reminds us that a life is measured not by its length, but by the love we give, the joy we share, and the memories we leave behind. CJ’s story continues—and it will live on forever.

CJ will be forever loved and deeply missed by his beloved parents, the world’s best mom, Gwendolyn Mays Brown, and his loving father, Clarence Brown Sr. (Tilisa); his devoted son, JaiShawn Ingram, and daughter, Paisley; his loving fiancée, Deidre Black; his cherished grandmother, Maggie Brown; his brothers and sisters, Dionn Marion, Timothy Brown (Melanie), Clarissa Brown, Eric and Rennselle Murphy, and a host of loving uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends whose lives were forever touched by his laughter, love, and kindness.
