Clement Eghe Obaseki

Clement was born and raised in Benin City, Nigeria, to the late Geoffrey and Victoria Obaseki. From an early age, he developed a strong sense of family, responsibility, perseverance, and faith; qualities that remained a defining part of who he was throughout his life.

Clement attended Edo College and later continued his education at Auchi Polytechnic in Benin City, Nigeria. After completing his education, he devoted much of his professional life to the finance industry. He approached his work with dedication, integrity, and a strong commitment to providing for those he loved.

Clement’s relationship with God was an important part of his life. His faith was not simply something he professed; it was something he lived. One of the places where Clement’s faith and servant’s heart were especially evident was through his church, Goshen Universal Church of God. He passionately served in the Men’s Ministry, where he served as President. His leadership was more than a title; it was an expression of his love for God and his desire to make a difference in the lives of others.

Clement had a personality and presence that were uniquely his own. He took great pride in looking his best and had a true passion for fashion. He loved being well dressed, well groomed, and stylish.

Beyond his career, his service, and his impeccable sense of style, Clement’s greatest joy was his family. He was a devoted husband, loving father, brother, uncle, and friend. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Constance Obaseki; Clement’s love for his wife, was a beautiful and treasured part of his life. Together, they shared a bond built on love, faith, friendship, and unwavering commitment. Constance was not only his wife, but his partner, confidante, and the person who stood beside him through life’s joys and challenges. Their journey together was filled with cherished memories, laughter, love, and countless moments that will forever remain in her heart; his son, Ogbevon Joseph Obaseki whom he loved deeply and cherished every moment they shared. He especially treasured their summers together, creating memories that Ogbevon will carry with him for a lifetime; his sisters, Mrs. Emwanta Obaseki Osaduaye of Nigeria; Mrs. Bright Obaseki Echendu (Mr. Larry Echendu) Of United Kingdom; Mrs. Florence Nosa Agbontaen (Mr. Felix Agbontaen) of United Kingdom; Mrs. Faith Obaseki Osarietin (Kingsley Osaretin) of United Kingdom; Mrs. Uyinmwen Charity Obaseki Ogboe (Humphrey Ogboe)of United Kingdom; his parent in laws Mr. Howard and Mrs. Louise Pipkin, Mr. Ronald and Dr. Linda McRae along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, church family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.

When Clement was diagnosed with colon cancer, he faced one of the greatest challenges of his life. Yet, throughout his illness, he fought with remarkable courage, strength, and grace. His journey was not an easy one, but Clement continued to persevere. His faith remained a source of strength, and he demonstrated a courage that inspired those around him.

Clement’s life was about so much more than the illness that he endured. Cancer may have been a part of his story, but it does not define his story.

Clement will be remembered for his generous heart, his strength, his compassion, his faith, his love for family, his commitment to serving others, and, of course, his unmistakable sense of style. His laughter, his voice, and the memories shared with him will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.

Though our hearts are heavy with the pain of his absence, we find comfort in knowing that Clement is no longer suffering. His earthly journey is complete, and we trust that he is resting in the loving presence of his Lord and Savior.

Clement, you fought a good fight. You finished your race. You kept the faith.

Your life was a blessing, your memory is a treasure, and your love will remain with us forever.

Until we meet again, rest peacefully in the arms of the Lord. You will forever be loved, forever remembered, and forever missed.
