Cleta Herring

Visitation will be held at Laurel Land Funeral Home in Fort Worth on Thursday, November 30 from 6-8 pm. A Celebration of Life will be held at First Baptist Church in Crowley on Friday, December 1, 2017.

Cleta was born in Little Elm, Texas on July 24, 1938 to C E and Joyce Jordan. She married Raymond R. Herring on June 11, 1960 and they had one daughter, Kimberly.

Cleta was the church secretary at First Baptist Church in Crowley for 35 years. She enjoyed cooking, traveling and hanging out with the Shady Ladies.

Cleta is survived by daughter Kimberly Herring of Crowley; sisters, Nancy Chaney of Gainesville and Pat Knipp of Hurst; brothers-in-law Sid Johnson and wife Suzanne of Eldorado, Don Herring and wife Beth of Denton, Charles Herring and wife Patsy of Fort Worth; sister-in-law Wilma Huddleston of Irving; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray, her parents and special fur baby, Maddie.

Memorials may be made to the Pre-School Ministry or the benevolence fund at the First Baptist Church of Crowley.
