

Dale Thatcher was born on July 28, 1957 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born the youngest son and third child to Bob and Betty Thatcher, He graduated from LD Bell High School in 1975. Throughout his life he was known for his passion for motorcycles, rock music and the Dallas Cowboys.
Dale spent a lot of time with his children throughout his life in many ways including boy scouts, concerts, amusement parks and clowning around as Mr. Patches. He was known for the eclectic taste of music he was dragged to, from N*SYNC to Terri Clark to Slipknot,and how he always enjoyed himself even if he didn’t want to go. Dales fondness for laughter was a major part of his life and memories and he will be remembered for acting a fool, Big Bird and HoHoHo in the Park.
Dale was never scared to show his pride of his state and country and would always wear his heart on his sleeve. His affection for Texas teams and most notably the Dallas Cowboys, leave behind many recollections for his friends and family. Dale will always be known for bleeding blue and silver.
Dale is preceded in death by his parents Robert Dewey Thatcher and Betty Lou Thatcher and one nephew. He leaves behind his wife of 15 years Susan Thatcher and four children Crystal Barr and husband Clint, son DJ Thatcher and wife Erin, and daughters Emily Kinder and Katy Kinder. He also leaves behind four grandchildren, grandson Michael Barr and granddaughters Tabitha, Averi and Samantha Griffin. He is survived by two brothers, Fred and Lee Thatcher and sister Becky Young and also four nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Thursday 01/23/2020 at 3pm. Services will be located at Laurel LAnd Memorial Park at 7100 Crowley Rd., Fort Worth, TX 76134. A reception will be held at Lee Thatcher’s house after the service.
