Memorial service: 11 a.m. Friday at Southcliff Baptist Church, 4100 SW Loop 820, Fort Worth, 76109, with visitation 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service.
Clyde liked spending time with family, like sharing a hobby of model rockets and airplanes with his brother, or having a standing appointment for a family dinner every Sunday. He loved his family and worked hard to provide for them. He always remembered and missed the family who preceded him in death and he was a good father who spent time with his son and made sure he was well-prepared to take care of himself in the world. He enjoyed teaching himself computer programming. Clyde loved animals, particularly cats, and had a quirky sense of humor, and he loved to make people laugh (or groan) with a joke or a pun. He'd often surprise you with a memory or a story that would make you laugh.
Clyde was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Alan Ross Johns and Samuel Earl Johns III.
Survivors: Son, Clyde Jr.; sister, Jo Starnes; and five nieces and nephews.
