Clyde Allen Martin was born Dec. 1, 1920, in Lawrence, Kan., to George and Pearl Martin. He was the sixth of eight children. He joined the U.S. Navy during World War II as part of the 66th Naval Construction Battalion, Company D. He served in Attu and Kiska, Aleutian Islands, and Okinawa. He founded Keller Welding Service in Keller after his retirement. He enjoyed fixing things and spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; seven siblings; and his loving wife of 60 years, Ruby.
Survivors: Daughter, Linda and husband, Dwayne McCaig; son, Clyde Martin II and wife, Denise; son, Carl Martin and wife, Jean; daughter, Diane and husband, Clay McGilvray; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family and friends.
