Clydeen Wilson Roberts

Clydeen Wilson Roberts, 95, moved from this life to begin her eternal life with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 3, 2023. Clydeen was born February 21, 1928 in Fort Worth, Texas to Clyde and Grace Beauchamp. She graduated from R. L. Paschal High School at the age of 16 summa cum laude.

She was blessed to have two men in her life who loved and cared for her deeply. She married Jimmy Wilson on February 1, 1947. They were married for 47 years until his passing in 1994. On April 26, 2002, she married Billy Joe Roberts and they were married for 19 years until his passing in 2022.

Clydeen had an extraordinary talent for playing the piano. After one year of lessons she began playing for Berry Street Baptist Church at the age of 13. This began a career that continued well into her 80's. Her passion was singing and playing for the glory of God. In the 1950's she and Jimmy began singing in a quartet called "The Gospel Echoes." They ministered in their home church and other churches as well as other venues always sharing God's Word in song. Clydeen was loved and will be missed by her family and those whose lives she influenced.

Clydeen was preceded in death by her husbands, Jimmy Wilson and Billy Roberts, her son David Wilson and his wife, Linda; her daughter, Patti Stanley; and her son-in-law, Herbert Wade, Jr.

She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Wilson Wade of Joshua, Texas; grandchildren, Jaymie Sharp and husband Ryan, Austin Wade and wife Kandace, Jarrod Wade and wife Melissa, all of Joshua, Texas; Lindsey Stanley, Jonathan Stanley, Hollie McCallum and husband Brian, and Christine Smith and husband, Josh of Burleson, Texas; 21 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren, and her bonus family, the Roberts.
