Cody Wayne Seals

Cody Seals, 38, would pass from his earthly home to his heavenly on Saturday, June 1, 2019. Service: 12:30 pm Monday, June 17, 2019 in the Memorial Chapel at Laurel Land Funeral Home, 7100 Crowley Road, Fort Worth, Texas, 76134. Cody Wayne Seals was born on May 10, 1981 in Fort Worth, Texas to Wayne and Sandra Seals. Cody played sports as a young boy and would continue to play football through his high school years at Crowley High School. He also was very active in power lifting. After graduating from high school, Cody started taking some college classes and began to look for work. Cody decided to enlist in the United States Army where he would server honorably for 4 years. He would spend most of his time in Iraq in the area around Baghdad. After his military service, Cody would go to trucking school with financial assistance from the VA. After that, he went to school again and started his career as a master mechanic working on heavy machinery. Cody was known for his generosity, selflessness, and caretaking spirit. He will be missed greatly by his family and lifelong friends. Cody would pass from his earthly home to his heavenly on Saturday, June 1, 2019. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Charles Haugrud, his grandmother, Mary White, and two cousins, James Szurgot and Kelly Llamas. Those left to cherish his memory and continue his legacy are his father; Wayne Seals, mother; Sandra Seals, two brothers; Chad and Christopher, sister; Kimberly Seals DeLeon, aunt Sharon Szurgot, aunt Susan Rasco-Fowler (Gary), uncle Sheldon Haugrud (Connie), and many loving extended family members and dear friends.

Thank you Cody for your service to our country and keeping everyone safe at home. You had an infectious personality and smile that will not be soon forgotten. You were taken from your earthly home entirely to early. Prayers to your family for their healing and their hearts mending. May you rest in peace in your heavenly home. Till we meet again. I am so sorry for Sandra and everyone who loved Cody. I hope you will remember the good fun memories of him. Thank you Cody for your service for our country. You are a true hero to me for leaving your home and going to defend all Americans in Iraq. You will never be forgotten thank you. 🇺🇸

Oh Cody,
You will be truly missed!!
You and I had some great times as kids!
I will never forget us trying to find rope of anything else we could find to try and make halters to ride the horses next door!
Or us riding our bikes to the store to get a dr. Pepper.
You have been an amazing friend to my brother for most of his life & he will always surely miss you!
