Cos was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, May 21, 1951. He was 69 years old.
Cos moved from State College in Pennsylvania to Texas in 1980. He resided in North Richland Hills, Texas for the last 36 years, with his wife, Carol.
Cos worked for General Motors in the GMAC Fort Worth and Dallas branches for 10 years. He left GMAC to open his own photographic studio in 1990. He retired from photography in 2016. Cos was Past President of the NRH Chamber of Commerce, Past President of the Professional Photographer's Association, an active member of Cross Roads Church, Fort Worth and a member of the NRA.
Cos' passion was studying all the history of the World Wars. He was often told that he should have been a history professor. Another passion was vintage cars. A favorite pastime was to attend car shows with his son-in-law and grandsons. Another pastime that kept him busy, was photographic restoration of old or damaged images for other photographers and friends. Keeping busy with his church family and working in the community was an important part of his life. His joy was working with people. Cos loved cats. The love of his life, Miss Raynie, stayed by him continuously, usually taking naps with him while resting on his stomach until she passed in May of 2019. In the end, Miss Birdie, tiny 5lb. terrier/poodle mix, became an almost daily companion. She filled her "Uncle Cos'" heart with love and joy.
When asked how he felt, he would respond: "Every day is a good day!" Many will carry that in their hearts forever.
Cos is survived by his wife of 39 years, Carol Call DeLeo; daughter, Dawn Florey and husband Wilson;
grandsons, Jeffrey, Jeremy, Jaice and Jaxon Florey; great-grandchildren, Lillian and Tucker Florey; brother, Timothy DeLeo and wife, Nadine; sister, Terry Gladstone and husband Richard; nephews, Aaron DeLeo and Aaron and Matthew Gladstone; niece, Emily DeLeo.
