I contacted Phil Burgess the editor of National Dragster about Curtis and he was kind enough to print a farewell to Curtis on page 24 of the June 1st issue.

I spent many hours with Curtis when we worked NHRA races. We roomed together for years and after the day was over and we got back to the hotel his favorite subjects were his Daughters and the twins. That is my favorite memory of a great guy.

Dad loved to watch car racing either on TV. or went on several trips to see them. During his last days of living he and i watched one of the big car racing on TV. on a Sunday afternnon at his apartment. Dad was a hard working person to always support our family and will always have a special place in my heart as his daughter. 💝

Yes dad always loved to either watch on the TV or even travel 2 places to see the different NASCAR racing for many years even in the last few weeks that i was able to help and assist him in any way of his life. He was very fun to be around and he was a hard-working man to support our family growing up that I witnessed as his daughter. Dad i iove you very much and you will always have a special place in MY heart. Angela.💝
