Daniel Bruce Culverwell, born July 13, 1950, in Niagara Falls, NY, went to his eternal home with Jesus on February 11, 2025, in Crowley, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Charlotte Culverwell, his youngest son, Daniel, and Guai-Guai 1 (beloved dog).
Daniel is survived by his loving wife, Lo (Lucy) Culverwell; his children, Maurice Culverwell (wife Lisa) and Helena Leyto (husband Michael); his two cherished grandchildren, Tristan and Riley, siblings; Richard Culverwell, Barbara Johnson, Lois Lee Kocher, Steven Culverwell and his beloved dogs Wang Zi (meaning Prince) and Guai-Guai 2 (meaning Sweetheart).
Daniel was a highly intelligent and self-taught man, whose curiosity and passion for learning led him to study a vast array of subjects. Though he earned his GED and took college courses, his knowledge extended far beyond formal education. From law and medicine to general contracting and electrical work, Daniel was well-versed in numerous fields, always eager to apply his expertise to help others. Over the last eight years, he dedicated himself to ministry as a Deliverance Pastor, tirelessly studying God’s Word, prayers, and deliverance techniques to hear God's voice more clearly. He did not simply study these subjects—he lived them.
A gifted entrepreneur, Daniel successfully ran multiple businesses throughout his life, positively impacting countless individuals. Yet, his most significant and life-changing work came through his calling as a Deliverance Pastor. His ministry touched lives locally and across the United States, and his teachings reached people around the world. God used him in a mighty and bold way, and the impact of his faithfulness will continue to change lives for generations to come.
Daniel was also an adventurous and accomplished individual. He was a licensed pilot, an RC pilot, and a hot rod enthusiast. He built and flew his own ultralight aircraft and owned multiple boats, ranging from ski boats to cabin cruisers, each tied to a special membership and passion in his life. His love for adventure and exploration was evident in everything he pursued.
Daniel touched so many lives, offering wisdom, encouragement, and the love of Christ to all who knew him. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those he taught, guided, and loved. What he faithfully imparted to others will have a lasting impact that continues to change the world. He now holds the title of General in Heaven, continuing his mission in the Lord's service.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on February 21, 2025, at Laurel Land Funeral Home, 7100 Crowley Road, Fort Worth, TX 76134. Burial will immediately follow the service. His Celebration of Life will be live-streamed for all those he touched around the world and for friends and family that are unable to attend.
Daniel will be deeply missed, but his influence and teachings will never be forgotten. His was a life well lived in faith, wisdom, and love.
"His lord said to him, 'Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.'" – Matthew 25:23
