Daniel “Danny”Dixon, age 63, passed away on October 6, 2021 in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born on January 13, 1958 in Liberal Kansas to Richard and Georgianna (Sweet) Dixon. Danny grew up in Houston, Texas. He graduated from Westchester High School in 1976 and the University of Texas at Austin in 1980. On March 6, 1982, he married Melissa “Missy” Tuttle in Houston and they had one daughter Lyndsay “Dixie” Dixon.
Danny worked as a petroleum engineer for over 30 years. He retired in 2017. But Danny’s main passion, besides his two girls, was golf—anything golf—and he was very good at it. He loved to play it, he loved to buy and make golf clubs, and he loved to watch it on TV. He was a member of the Ridglea Country Club. He was a big Texas Longhorn fan and, thanks to Dixie, he came to love the TCU Horned Frogs. He and his girls loved traveling together taking pictures and took numerous adventures throughout the years from Cabo to Italy to Hawaii and everywhere in between.
His family and friends will always remember him as the most loving incredible papa bear, a faithful friend with the kindest heart, best brother, all around great guy, and sweet soul who would literally do anything for the people he loved.
Danny is survived by his wife Missy; his daughter, Dixie Dixon of Fort Worth; his two fur babies, Homer and Lulu; and his two brothers, Richard Dixon of Houston and Doug Dixon of Houston. He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Georgianna Dixon and his fur babies, Harley and Finley.
