Some of us seem to get the short end of the stick but like Job Daniel kept up his integrity to the end. May we show such an attitude. Have faith and hope for the day we'll meet Daniel, his parents & grandparents all alive and in good health. John five:twenty-eight

Much love and thoughts are with the family .

I extend my deepest sympathies to your family on the loss of Daniel, or "D-Jones," as my daughter called him. My daughter was the KOT sweetheart last year, and I had the pleasure of meeting Daniel at the Sweetheart Tea. He spoke some very kind and loving words about my daughter and it was so touching to me. I sought him out after his speech and introduced myself to him and I so enjoyed our conversation. It wasn't until later that I learned of all the challenges Daniel had faced in his life. What a fine example of Christian leadership he was....turning TO the Lord in faith and hope instead of AWAY from him in bitterness and despair. I hope it's a comfort to know he is with his Lord and savior. I know he will be missed by my daughter and all their friends. My prayers are with you all.

Please know that ya'll are in my thoughts and prayers during the months and days ahead. Our comfort and joy is knowing that Daniel is with the Lord. Keep your eyes on the Lord and he will carry you through. Love and prayers,

Daniel,
I didn't have the opportunity to know you, but my daughter (Maddy) did and she speaks very highly of you. I can see how you were such a blessing to many people in your life. I pray for you and your family. With heartfelt sympathy.

I do not know Daniel or his family. My youngest son is a freshman at Baylor and we ran the race togther on Saturday. Walking back to look for my older son, who also raced, I passed the team of EMTs working to revive Daniel. At that time I had no idea the gravity of that tragic scene. Later that day I talked to one of Daniel's friends and a former BU student in Waco. He let me know what had happened. It broke my heart. I was terribly shaken and full of grief for his family and friends. My wife and I have grieved and shed tears for days as we have thought of your family and this situation. We are so sorry for your loss.

I ran the Bearathon and saw Daniel several times a long the course. I did not know him but did notice the huge fan support he had. Every time I saw him there was a crowd of friends cheering him on. Find comfort in knowing he is with Our Lord and Savior and you will be reunited with him. Prayers for his family, friends, and Baylor University.

We are so sorry to hear about Daniel's passing. He was a sweet person and a wonderful patient. We are so proud to hear about all of his accomplishments. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

Daniel was amazing guy and it's all because of his amazing family. Over the last 20 years, I have seen you all overcome so much adversity. You all will forever hold a special place in my heart as well as all the fond memories I have when we were younger. Love you all very much!

I met Daniel for the first time a couple of years ago when he came to Indianapolis with his Grandparents for a family visit. As soon as I met him I had this instant connection with him as he made me feel like I had known him all my life. He was such a likeable person and I will miss him even though I only knew him for a short time. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Love, Jim and Carol VanSlyke

I only knew you for a short time but I will remember how you always had a smile on your face. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends
who's lives you have touched and who are forever changed.

We are very sorry for your loss.

Our family met Daniel and his entire family in 1994 when he was a very young boy. The photo of Daniel and his mom and brother reminded me of when we first met him. We've watched Daniel grow into the wonderful young man he became and were greatly saddened by his untimely death. Our sympathy goes out to the entire Jones family at this time. You all remain in our thoughts, prayers, and hearts. Liz & Ken Dorey & family

Ive known the family for going on 20 years. Daniel was always a sweet person. Very kind and would wave everytime we passed each other on the road. He wasnt just a neighbor, he was an angel. Condolences from the Edwards family to you all.

I had the pleasure of meeting Daniel during a student foundation function. Blythe, my daughter introduced Daniel during the stomp competition last spring. Such a kind young man with a contagious smile. My deepest sympathy.

What a wonderful young man. Always a big smile and a big hug. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. And know how much we loved Jonsey.

I was so sad to hear of Daniel's passing. He is with his mom, mema & pappy in heaven. May God comfort his family knowing what a good person he was and his positive attitude that touched so many.

I personally did not know Daniel but saw him over the years because my son went to school with Daniel starting at Smithfield Elementary and graduating together from Birdville High School. It breaks my heart to hear of his passing as he is so young. My prayers go out to his family. May you find peace knowing what a nice young man he was and that he is in heaven now for all eternity. You will be together again. God Bless the family of Daniel Jones.

I'm praying that God will hold and rock you in his bossom, and that he will sustain you now and in the coming days. Sincerely,

Dear Daniel's Family, You are in my thoughts and prayers. He has finished the ULTIMATE race! He is on the Streets of Gold - running, jumping and Shouting! He is rejoicing in the presence of our Lord and Savior. May God hold you in the palm of His hand and give you comfort and peace. Psalm 116:15.
In Christ,
Starlyn Frank

I was saddened to hear about Daniel's untimely death. He was one of my students in a University 1000 class several years ago. I had seen him in the business school from time to time since then, and he always had a smile and something nice to say. We have lost a wonderful young man.--Joy Young, Senior Lecturer, Baylor University
