Service: Monday October 16, 2017 at Laurel Land Funeral Home of Fort Worth. Visitation: 3 pm to 5 pm Sunday October 15, at Laurel Land. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park.

He was born in Ft. Worth on June 5, 1937 to Glenn and Ruth Kirk. After growing up in the Poly area of Ft. Worth and attending Ft. Worth Technical High School, he joined the U.S. Air force. He spent his career in the airline and auto industries, both of which were also his hobbies.

He was a very generous man and enjoyed teaching others “how-to” skills from his wealth of experience and sharing his vast knowledge and skills. He enjoyed hunting, boating, building classic cars, and eating a hamburger daily at Grumps. He was proud to say that he was a member of SAR and SRT, and was truly grateful for his patriotic ancestry.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents and many “old car buddies.”

Dave is survived by his wife of 51 years, Nina; two sisters, Glenda and Joye; his sons, Mike and Mark; his daughters, Cherrilynn, Diane, Theresa, and Amy; 18 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
