Precious memories, how they linger, how they ever flood my soul
You were my first sister, my first playmate, first confidant, and being only eighteen months apart, we were closer than twins---so close we could finish each other's sentences.  But you were the good one,  the spiritual one, but I never felt that you were entirely comfortable in this world.   God had fitted you with a voice, that, when the angels in heaven heard you sing, they stopped to listen.Did they recognize that sweet voice?
Even your name was special, being given to you by Granddad Blackwell, because he said you were " dearest of all ".

Happy Birthday my beloved mama.  You have left so many wonderful tangible reminders of your endless love for me.  I read part of "My Daughter" poetry book today and was so enthralled with your personal notes.  Thank you for being in my heart and mind.  Sometimes I can smell you....Tea Rose of course.  It is so pleasant and bittersweet at the same time.  Frank and I celebrate you on this day and can truly feel your spirit is with us.  You are so beautiful and so vibrant.  By the way, I hung the portrait of you and daddy above my piano and I stare it many times during play time.  Happy Birthday and soon we will all be together again in many more ways and even so much more in beautiful and peaceful adoring moments as we stand in the presence and Glory of our precious Lord and Savior, King Jesus.  I love you and my heart yearns for your slightest touch.

My beloved mother, finally - you are no longer in tremendous pain physically or emotionally and for that I am eternally grateful to our precious Lord and Savior.  You, mamma, are now where we all wish to be....closer to Jesus, the King.  My tears now are for myself because it is so very hard living on this earth without you or my beloved daddy.  But peace and comfort encompass my heart because you are truly free and free indeed.  You were stunningly beautiful on this earth....I can only imagine how much more beautiful you now are as you stand in the glory of God.  I look forward to being in my forever home with you, daddy and brother, Tony.  What a glorious time we all shall have when we are together again.  Thank you mamma, for your love, gestures you showed in true nurturing and raising, and for the non ending support, encouragement and confidence you freely gave me.  My love to you always.  I miss you so.

We had some good times. Remember, you have a date with a butterfly to dance in the air and sing in the sunshine wild and free. As you go through your next journey, Rest in Peace Cousin.
