

Delores Washington arrived on June 24th in the year of 1944 to the parents of Clarence and Mattie Lee Washington in the City of Roses, Tyler, Texas.
Sunset came softly on July 11, 2025, and Delores departed this life. Delores attended Como School in Fort Worth, Texas at an early age. She became a Christian at an early age at the Lake Como Church of Christ, Fort Worth, Texas. She was also a member of the Harlem Hills Church of Christ ( now the West Vickery Church of Christ Fort Worth, Texas after the family relocated.)
At an Early age she married the late Johnnie Washing, Jr. to this union 2 children were born. As some time passed, she married the late Henry Culberson, to this union 3 children were born.
Delores was the most wonderful mother of 5 precious souls.
In her later years, she met and married the late James Reeves. They later attended the Western Hills Church of Christ Fort Worth, Texas until James' demise. Delores remained faithful until her health failed her.
She will be remembered first of all for her shy and radiant beauty outside and equally as beautiful inside. She possessed a quick and glowing smile.
She was an immaculate housekeeper; a wonderful cook & she was the most sought-after baby sister "the world over."
She loved all of her family as much as they loved her. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.
She had a sweet, generous, & fun-loving nature and she loved to dance. Delores became a "mother" to all of her acquaintances.
She is survived by her children; 1 daughter, Betty Delores Washington, 4 sons, Lance C. Washington, Johnnie Washington, III...(AKA Littlejon), Burt C. Culberson & Henry Dewayne Culberson; 16 grandchildren, Pearl Clayborne, Jamar Clayborne, Jr., Shayla Washington, Lance Washington, Jr., Charles Washington (Dearies), Brandon Washington (Sha Quenia), Joshua Washington, Eunecia Annette, Millard Lamont Washington (Brittany), Jeremiah Washington, Jeffery Washington, Roxanne Maggie Mae Culberson, Roxanne Mattie Culberson, Burt Cecil Culberson, II, Burt C. Culberson, III and Henry Dwayne Culberson, Jr.; 13 great grandchildren, Pearl Clayborne, James Clayborne, Jr., Jayla Mann, Jaden Mann, Jae Mann Bailey, Kaliyah Washington, Patricia Washington, Payton Washington, Mahjesti La'Necia Washington, Hudson Johnnie Washington, Logan Monroe Washington and Henry Dwayne Culberson, Jr.; 4, sisters, Billie Jean Swanson, Tyler, Texas, Willie Ann Lewis, Fort Worth, Texas, Mattie Glodene Bailey, Corsicana, Texas and Ormathell Carol Madkins, Fort Worth, Texas; 2 brothers, Eddie B. Washington and James H. Washington both of Fort Worth, Texas;1 aunt, Billye Tolbert (Ed), Fort Worth, Texas; and a profusion of cousins, nieces, nephews family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, 3, husbands, 2, grandchildren; Johnnie Washington, IIII & Burt C. Culberson, Jr. ; close relatives, in the persons of aunts and uncles.
