

Dennie was born January 7, 1925, in Sanger, Texas, to the late Charles Monroe and Ivory Harris Swindell. She married James Edward Brown on August 10, 1945, a union of marriage that lasted 55 years. James preceded her in death on April 19, 2000.
She was raised in Lindsay, Oklahoma, but moved back to Sanger in 1941, where she met James. They were married following his discharge from the Army Air Force in July, 1945, and moved to Fort Worth where they lived many of their lives together. She was a homemaker and a devoted mother to her sons. Dennie was a faithful member of Handley Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sons, Don and wife Cynthia Brown of Bluff Dale; and Kevin and wife Nancy Brown of Plano; grandchildren, Melanie Ducote, Erin Bushko, Travis Brown, Phillip Brown and Leslie Assiter; great grandchildren, Samuel and Layne Ducote, Nolan and Ella Bushko and Luke Brown.
Besides her parents and husband, Dennie was also preceded in death by five sisters and five brothers.
In lieu of flowers, the Brown family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the charity of the donor's choice.
