December 12, 1956 – July 28, 2025
Obituary of Dennis Dwain Stuart
IN THE CARE OF

Laurel Land – Rose Hill Memorial Park and Funeral Home

It is with profound sorrow and a deep sense of loss that we announce the passing of Dennis Dwain Stuart, 68, who went to be with the lord on Monday, July 28, 2025.

He was a devoted Catholic and attended St. Patrick’s Cathedral. His faith was a guiding light throughout his life. Born December 12,1956 in Fort Worth,TX, Dennis never lost his love for his hometown and for telling the history of Fort Worth. In his youth, Dennis played hockey with the Fort Worth Youth Hockey Association, where he met lifetime friends. He graduated from Western Hills High School in 1975. Dennis went on to earn his degree from Texas A&M University in 1979. He loved Texas A&M and would take his family or friends to College Station anytime he could. He was a proud Century Club member and kept a season ticket for most of his life. He would travel as much as possible to see the Texas A&M football team play, and no one cheered louder for the Aggies.

He earned his Master's Degree from the University of Dallas. Then he pursued a career in the aerospace industry, working with The Boeing Company, Bell Helicopter, and Lockheed Martin, where he retired after years of dedicated work. One of Dennis's proudest moments was in 2006 when Governor Rick Perry appointed him to serve the great state of Texas on the Aerospace and Aviation Advisory Committee. Throughout his career, he lived in Marrietta, GA, San Antonio, TX, Brisbane, Australia, Amarillo, TX, and ultimately returned to his beloved Fort Worth to raise his daughters at Tanglewood Elementary, where he was an involved father and even served as an assistant softball coach for his daughter's team.

Dennis loved music. During his teen years, he had the best job working at the Fort Worth Convention Center. This job allowed him to attend a long list of iconic concerts. He enjoyed telling stories of seeing Elvis and selling T-shirts at his concert, helping out at ZZ-Top, and witnessing the magic of James Brown coming to life on the stage. One of his favorite stories was playing ping pong with John Denver before a show. He shared his love for concerts by taking his family to them whenever possible. The last concert he attended was Coldplay held in Denver, CO., one he said was the best he had seen. Dennis enjoyed watching all sports, especially anything involving his beloved Texas A&M Aggies. He enjoyed playing golf, and was proud of his involvement in 100 Men (Who Give a Damn) Fort Worth. He had many circles of friends and kept a schedule of times to hang out with good friends, including at least once a week at Railhead and Tuesdays with his "Table 93" crew. He enjoyed sharing great stories, laughing together, and making everyone feel like they belonged. Life for Dennis was lived in motion. He lived part-time in Port Aransas, TX. He was a proud Port Aransas High School Marlin Dad. He loved traveling with his family. His last major trip was in June for a ten-day group tour with his daughter’s school to Paris, London, and Edinburgh, with a quick stop in Saint Andrews, Scotland, a place he had always dreamed of visiting. Once back to health, his goal was to make the pilgrimage and walk the Camino de Santiago in 2026 with his best friend.

He is preceded in death by his father, William Henry, mother, Betty Jo, and brother William Douglas.

He is survived by his loving wife, Rhonica; his son, Kyle; his daughters, Hannah Inmon; and his youngest, Aryn; as well as an extended family, including many nieces and nephews, and a large group of friends in Fort Worth and Port Aransas who will carry on his memory.

Dennis lived a full and joyful life, measured not just in years, but in the memories he created, the friendships he nurtured, and the love he gave to his family. His passing was sudden and unexpected leaving behind a legacy of laughter, friendship, and unforgettable stories.
