Derrick Donshay Jones was born in Fort Worth, Texas to Effie Jones and Tommy Crockett on March 29, 1980.
Derrick matriculated through Everman ISD where he excelled in football and graduated from Everman High School. As a child he was baptized at Salem Missionary Church under leadership of the late Rev. A.V. Fisher.
A family man who wore his heart on his sleeve, Derrick will always be remembered for his willingness to sit in deep conversation and his unwavering resolve to provide for those in need. A heart of gold and a work ethic of steel, Derrick dedicated 23 years to Danone. He was a lover of music, family, cars, superheroes, and video games. Which he passed on to his children.
His memory will forever live on in the hearts of his beloved parents, Effie Jones-Crockett, Tommy Crockett; his cherished children Robin Monique, Derion Jones (Sierra), and Ajani Jones, bonus children Anecia, Anya (Jaiden), and Ayden, his life partner Charmaine Stewart, his sisters Ericka Jones, Kim Crockett, Sylvia Crockett, and his many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends whose lives were forever changed by his love, laughter, and presence.
