It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dianna Lois Jones Green, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who left us on Sunday, December 1, 2024 at the age of 67.
Dianna is preceded in death by her parents Pearlie Mae Jones and Lonnie D. Hunt, siblings Johnnie Frank Lopez, Donnie Ray Jones and Karen Pearl Jones and her beloved dog Candy.
Born on January 10, 1957 in St. Louis Missouri, Dianna dedicated her life to serving others, both professionally and personally. After attending cosmetology school, she began her career in the medical field, where her compassion and dedication made a lasting impact on the lives of those she cared for. After many years of hard work, Dianna transitioned to a new path, owning and operating her own daycare, Mama’s Little Angels, where she nurtured and cared for children with the same love and devotion she gave to her own family. She operated the daycare for over 20 years, becoming a trusted second mother and grandmother figure to so many children and their parents.
In addition to her career, Dianna was passionate about reading, and she also found joy in knitting, a hobby that allowed her to create beautiful, thoughtful gifts for her loved ones. Her hands were always busy, whether it was with a knitting project or offering a kind word, and her loving touch will be remembered by all who received her handcrafted creations. Her beloved dogs Princess and Coco also brought her so much joy.
Dianna was a woman of boundless kindness, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her generosity, warmth, and loving spirit touched the lives of everyone she met. Her family was her greatest joy, and she was deeply proud of her children and grandchildren and great grandchildren whose lives she touched with her wisdom, love, and care.
She is survived by her husband Jacob Green. Her children, Cleopatra Jones, Isaac Jones Audrey Manago, LaDonna Adeoye, Vanessa Adeoye, James Akins and Shirley Bradshaw.
