Dolores Joy Stewart-Hunter - Born February 18,1929 in Alva, Oklahoma. Died July 26, 2023. Dolores was a member of the first graduating class of Southwest Bible College in Oklahoma City, OK in 1950. She was also the class Valedictorian.
She was an employee at American Airlines Flight Attendant College for 18 years and held a Bible study in her home for flight attendants for more than 20 years.
She is survived by two children, Cheryl Hatfield (daughter) and Brett Hunter (son). She is also survived by two granddaughters, Christine Hatfield-Wilson and Katherine Hatfield-Fite, and five great-grandchildren, Brianna Reed, Kenneth Hayes, Hunter Hayes, Delaney Fite and Teagen Fite.
Her husband, Billy Gene Hunter, died in August of 2020, just two weeks before their 70th anniversary
Services will be held on Saturday, August 12th, at Shannon Funeral Home @ 6001 Rufe Snow in Fort Worth. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. and the service is at 10 a.m. A graveside service will be held afterwards at Bluebonnet Memorial Cemetery in Colleyville.
Attendees are encouraged to wear pink as that was her favorite color.
