While walking the hallway between our courts, I will always think I hear the fast foot steps behind me as Donna rushed between courts to do things. And her saying "Out of the way Michael. You're too slow!". She hardly walked slow at work. I'll also remember her trying to "run me over" in her car as I walked in the crosswalk, her yelling out the window to me "Watch it! I'll run you over!", and our play slapping through the window. I'm sure going to miss her but I know she is sitting in a beautiful field in heaven being serenaded by Elvis (and probably telling him that she should be his road manager).

Donna and I were best friends in high school.  She was a really sweet person.  Regret that we did not keep in touch.  Sorry for the loss of a wonderful friend.

Justin, I met your mom in the mid-1960s, when she visited us in Maryland, with a bunch of our family.  I remember a kind teenager who was in love with life, and with her fiancé, our cousin Fred Bruce, She gladly played our kids games, despite having certainly outgrown them.  I see that same teenager in the photo on this website, and will hold those memories dear.

I am so sorry you had to lose your mother at such a young age.  The only thing I am thankful for is that she saw you get married to the woman of your dreams, to see you truly happy.  This ia a mother's prayer.  She will always watch over you and your family from heaven and smile down upon you and keep you within her heart, as do you. Keep her memories close to you,because she gave you advise only a mother can give her only son.

You will never quite get over the loss of your mother, but someday you will be able to remember her and smile, even laugh with your memories. 

When your grandfather Fred Parker was only three, he lost his mother when she died giving birth to his only sister, Clementena. To comfort the family, a neighbor sent the following poem by James Whitcomb Riley. The sympathy became a family comfort and favorite over the years, and to this day the framed poem hangs in my Mother's home -- a family comfort we now pass to you and your family.

I just found out about Donna.  What a tragedy.  I am truly sorry.  She and I used to talk and joke on the phone all the time when she was working at the Courts.  She was BY FAR my very favorite coordinator.  She always knew everything.  I am very saddened by her passing.

Justin, We were so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. Unfortunately for us we had not seen her in several years but she always had a great smile to share. She will definitely be missed by all.

I work for a law firm and knew Donna professionally.  I always commented to my co-workers on how personable, efficient, and helpful Donna was after we spoke on the telephone.  She traveled from court to court and it was such a delight to unexpectedly reach her when she was covering for that court and she always went out of her way to help you with whatever you needed. Although the years have distanced us, we felt that she was a very special lady and always a pleasure to be around.  I am sure that you have many fond memories that, in time, will help you cope with the loss.

As soon as I was told of Donna's passing into the next glory, I remembered her laughing and her smiling. When she came here to DC, I remembered her laughing. What a delightful visit. Then when I went to Texas, I  seem to remember her at a sink washing dishes and looking at me and smiling. What a wonderful smile and visit.

Now, I think of her as a delightful and wonderful person to have known her through her laughing and smiling, and that is how I will remember her when I see her again in the next glory.

She is now in a place as written in Jesus Christ the Lord's Heart.

Revelation 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Now may the Holy Ghost comfort Justin and family as we all will miss Donna, but remember, when we see her again we will see her laughing and smiling.

So sorry to hear of Donna's passing. I knew Donna when she lived in Cleburne and we were in the same Soroity. She was always a very sweet lady. I know you will all miss her and that sweet smile very much.

My heart is so heavy to learn of Donna's passing. Its been several years since I have talked to her but she has always been in my thoughts.
