Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00pm on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 12:30pm on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at First Baptist of Burleson. Interment will immediately follow in Shannon Rose Hill Memorial Park.
Don was born in Mount Vernon, Texas on February 3, 1947 to Lloyd and Jewel Crane. As a teenager, he lived with Rev. L. Campbell and his wife, Martha. Don graduated from Baytown High School and went on to attend Southern Bible School.
Don was a pastor of Bethel Assembly of God Church in Fairfield, Texas and also worked at Cathedral in the Pines for 27 years. During this time, he took mission trips to build churches and help get water to orphans as well as surrounding villages. For the past 14 years, Don worked at First Baptist church where he served in a number of ways as he truly loved taking care of his church home and congregation. Don and his wife, Joy, also acted as house parents at Pleasant Hills Children's Home for three years. He had a passion for serving his church community, spending time with his family, and traveling, visiting places such as Costa Rica, Mexico, Thailand, and Russia which he visited 7 times.
Don was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all that knew and loved him.
Don is survived by his wife of 52 years, Joy Crane; his children, Faith Slusher and Brad Crane; his grandchildren: Brandon Crane, Brooklynn Crane, Ryder Scaccia, and Gianna Scaccia; and his siblings: Ralph Crane, Travis Crane, and Jeanette Attaway.
