Doris was born March 5, 1926 to George and Ada Payne in Milligan, TN. She was a Registered Nurse, graduating from Baroness Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, TN in 1949. She married Clarence Chancey on January 21, 1950. They moved to Fort Worth in 1957 and raised their 4 children. Doris was an active member of Gambrell Street Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence.
Doris is survived by her children, Mary Speer (Mike), Barbara Chancey, Donna Browne, and David Chancey (Lynda); 4 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.
