It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Doris Ann Giebler, who went home on August 1st, 2026 at the age of 75. She was a beloved wife, mother, gamma, sister, aunt, and friend. Her presence will be greatly missed.
Born in Fort Worth, Texas on June 24th, 1951, Doris Ann Kendall was the youngest child of Edward and Winnifred Kendall. Throughout her life, Dorie never met a stranger, consistently taking in strays (human and animal)! She loved spending time with her family, her furry children, traveling and the casinos. She was especially proud of her grandchildren and great-grandsons.
Dorie is survived by her husband of 44 years, Daryl Giebler, her son, James Smith and wife Stephanie, daughter Barbara Smith, grandchildren, Alyssa Smith, JT Smith, Matthew Smith, Kendall Slack, Madison Slack, and great grandsons, Riley Camacho and Brooks Fleming. She is also survived by her sister Barbara Brown, many nieces, great nieces and great nephews. Dorie is also survived by her precious fur babies, Chloe and Biscuit.
Dorie was proceeded in death by her father, Edward, her mother, Winnifred, and her big brother, Bob.
The family deeply appreciates the outpouring of love, prayers, and support during this difficult time. Red’s legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed.
A Memorial service is scheduled for Thursday August 13, 2026 @ 10am at Laurel Land Funeral Home 7100 Crowley Road, Fort Worth, TX 76134
