She was born in Athens Texas on 6/11/1931. She was married to James Thompson on 12/18/1981, in Burleson Texas.
Preceded in death by her husband James Thompson, twin brother Horace Hodge, sister Lois Willoughby, brother Alvie Hodge, parents Ruth and Robert Hodge, son in law Bill Grubbs, and granddaughter Katrina Reese.
She is survived by children William A Porter Jr (Buddy) and Charlotte, Susie Grubbs, Jimmy Porter and Lucy, and Debbie Ledford and Eddie. She had 14 Grandchildren, adopted grandson Ricky Fuchs, 22 Great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren, her best friend "Patches", and had many friends and so many adopted kids that were friends of kids and grandkids.
Funeral arrangements will be held at 3pm to 4pm, 7/5/2025 at Laurel Land Funeral Home in the Chapel of Chimes. Visitation is at 2pm to 3pm the same day and at same location.
