Dorothy A. Thompson

Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 4200 Denton Hwy., Fort Worth. Interment: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, 5725 Colleyville Blvd., Colleyville.

Dorothy was born on Nov. 14, 1931, on Long Island, N.Y., to Charles and Anna Fulton. She spent most of her childhood in Aruba. Dorothy married Thomas F. Thompson Nov. 25, 1954. She affectionately raised five children and devoted her time to children's ministries. Dorothy loved volunteering at the local food bank and thrift store. Her family enjoyed her sense of adventure, humor, many creative talents, wonderful cooking, and beautiful red hair. One fond family memory is when she discovered a riverlet; this always brings a smile to her kids' faces.

Dorothy loved God and was a shining example by her commitment to love others and to enjoy the simple pleasures of life. She will be deeply missed by her family and loved ones.

Survivors: She is survived by her husband, Thomas Thompson; sisters, Geri Barber and Gloria Wallace; daughters, Bonnie Canzoneri and husband, Dave, Debbie Nunez and husband, Bill, Sandy Chitwood and husband, Jim, Geri Morgan and husband, Robby; son, Michael Thompson and wife, T.C.; grandchildren, Michael, Richelle, Jessica, Casey, Tamra, Robbi and Cady; and 10 great-grandchildren.
